Business Manager

I began my career in primary care administration working within a busy General Practice, where I spent a year developing a strong understanding of the day-to-day operations of general practice and the importance of delivering high-quality administrative support.

This experience provided me with a solid foundation in patient services, organisational processes, and supporting clinical teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

In 2024, I joined Durham Dales Health Federation as an Administrator. After just two months, I was promoted to Senior Administrator, reflecting my commitment, adaptability, and ability to take on additional responsibilities. During this time, I developed a particular interest in workforce and training, supporting colleagues across the organisation while helping to coordinate learning and development and ensuring key administrative processes were delivered efficiently.

Following my continued professional development and organisational growth, I was appointed Business Manager. In this role, I work closely with senior leaders, clinical teams, and operational colleagues to support the effective delivery of services across the Federation. My responsibilities include overseeing business operations, workforce support, training coordination, service improvement, and ensuring that robust administrative processes are in place to help the organisation achieve its strategic objectives.

I enjoy the variety that comes with being a Business Manager, as no two days are ever the same. Whether supporting new projects, improving processes, coordinating workforce initiatives, or working alongside colleagues across different teams, I thrive on the opportunity to solve problems and make a positive contribution to the organisation. One of the aspects I value most is the people I work with, and I believe that strong relationships and teamwork are fundamental to delivering excellent healthcare services.

I am passionate about supporting the continuous development of primary care services and creating efficient, well-organised systems that enable colleagues to provide the highest standards of patient care. I take pride in contributing to the ongoing success of Durham Dales Health Federation and look forward to continuing to support innovation, collaboration, and service improvement for the benefit of our staff, patients, and local communities.
