CQC Inspection
On the 16th January, we received an announced, focused CQC inspection looking at the areas for improvement that were highlighted during the last inspection. The inspection went very well with nothing highlighted that we immediately needed to take action on. We will have to wait a couple of weeks however, for the formal report to be completed and a rating confirmed. I would like to thank you all for your work prior to the inspection and continued support. We’ve all done a huge amount of work since our last inspection meaning the organisation is in a much better position. The CQC inspections also wanted to pass on their gratitude for the completion of the staff questionnaires which were used in the inspection.
ARI Hubs
The Acute Respiratory Infection Hubs are continuing until the end of February. There have been some changes made this week to the Durham appointments which have now been opened up further for GP practice booking.
Hello’s and Goodbye’s
Last week we said hello to Rebecca Miller and David Nattrass and we welcomed them in their new roles. We also said goodbye to Chris Bradshaw and we wish him well and all the best for the future

(Possible) Media Coverage
We’ve had contact about some possible media coverage of the ARI hub at UHND and the work we are doing to support the wider health system. This may take place late next week but we’ll let you know when we know more.
Happy Birthday to our Centurion
Following on from last week’s newsletter Arthur met with the Station Commander from RAF Leeming and the Ceremonial Sgt. The Sgt said very loudly “Flight Sergeant Walker you’re incorrectly dressed, where’s your beret?” on that the Station commander presented him with a beret and 2 pictures of the Liberator plane he flew in the war. He also got a signed card from His Majesty King Charles and Queen Camila.
