CORE BENEFITS

The Better Health at Work Award supports and recognises the efforts of employers in the North East and Cumbria in addressing the holistic health and wellbeing of staff within the workplace.

Many organisations already promote healthy lifestyles and consider the health of their employees however this award goes one step further and recognises the achievements of these organisations and helps them move forward in a structured and supported way.

HEALTH ADVOCATES

A Health Advocate is someone who is passionate about health and wellbeing, wants to help raise awareness of health topics, and contribute to developing a positive wellbeing culture in the workplace - and even beyond.

This can be anyone in the organisation, regardless of role or experience. The Health Advocate role is voluntary, and can be a great addition to a CV. It is a good opportunity to develop and practice skills such as communication, persuasion and motivating others.

projects and offering support and leading on the monthly projects below:
