September is Urology Awareness Month
At Durham Dales Health Federation, we’re dedicated to raising awareness about urological health and the importance of early detection. Urological conditions can affect anyone, yet many people feel uncomfortable discussing them. This month, let’s break the silence and educate ourselves on conditions like prostate cancer, kidney stones, and urinary tract infections. Regular check-ups and open conversations can lead to early diagnosis and better outcomes. Take charge of your health—if something doesn’t feel right, don’t hesitate to speak with your GP. Your health is worth it! Find out more: https://bit.ly/3X2NN09

Message from Sam Dobson
I’ve signed up with Dementia UK to walk a mile a day in September. If anyone wants to donate they can do so through my just giving on my Facebook page, or alternatively, I have a sponsor form in our office. My Dad has Dementia, and has recently gone into permanent care, so this is very personal and close to my heart. Just £8 can cover the telephone costs for two families seeking support through Dementia UK’s free helpline. £33 could fund a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community.
